The one where I gained my first 10K+ views on Instagram!
My favourite and most rewarding job so far! To have creative freedom in what I produced for University College Birmingham’s social media was a great confidence boost and great fun.
From capturing engaging student social media content to photographing university events such as open days, I also managed a group of student Digital Content Creators who work for the university to produce student specific content as they are the target audience. I mentored and assisted them to develop their skills from storyboarding right through to producing and filming content, while working with the marketing team to ensure the right kind content was produced.

Videography
I was so proud of myself, that only after six months of working at University College Birmingham, one of my videos gained over 10K plays on Instagram! This is the first time a piece of content I produced from scratch has gone viral, with one other video being very close to reaching that 10K viewership. I interviewed Aktar Islam, chef and owner of Opheem, Birmingham, who won his second Michelin star and made history for Birmingham as he is the first in the city to do so. He has a close partnership with staff at The College of Food and has employed University College Birmingham culinary graduates in the past. You can watch his full interview below!
